Michelle Kung
Michelle Kung is a Partner and Head of Marketing at Wing Venture Capital, where she leads the firm’s brand, marketing, communications, and editorial strategy. Over more than two decades, she has built brands, media platforms, and content programs across technology, venture capital, and journalism. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and storytelling: defining what an organization stands for, finding the ideas that matter, and turning them into narratives that reach the right audiences.
Before Wing, Michelle held senior marketing and editorial roles at Andreessen Horowitz, Amazon, AWS, and Index Ventures. Her experience spans the full range of modern marketing — from brand and communications to editorial strategy, executive thought leadership, digital media, and audience development. Throughout her career, she has worked with founders, investors, executives, and technologists to make complex ideas clear, relevant, and memorable.
Michelle began her career as a journalist, including as a reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal and the founding Business Editor of The Huffington Post, with earlier roles at The Boston Globe and Entertainment Weekly. She also created a Webby Award-nominated blog that grew to three million monthly pageviews and has appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, and MSNBC. A graduate of Harvard University, Michelle brings an editor’s instinct for clarity and a marketer’s focus on building brands that people understand, trust, and remember.
