Sara Choi brings her experiences as a former founder and product leader to her collaborations, investing in and supporting founders early on their entrepreneurial journeys, often at inception. Sara partners with founders of transformative tech companies working to shape the future of medicine and healthcare.

Prior to co-founding Airfox, acquired in 2017, Sara was head of product at Ciao Telecom, where she co-founded a new wireless carrier. Sara began her career at Google, leading teams as YouTube’s media lead and Google Partners’ product marketing lead.

Sara holds a BA in biological anthropology from Harvard University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Sara began and continues to run the Harvard Founder Network, a community of Harvard-affiliated CEOs. In addition to the companies below, Sara also works with a number of unannounced companies.

Zach Dewitt is a partner at Wing, bringing firsthand founder experience to the startups he works with. Zach is focused at the intersection of AI and product-led growth (PLG). He is interested in digital workers, agentic applications, creative projects and communication tools.

Before joining the Wing team, he was the CEO and co-founder of Drop, Inc., where he and his team built two award-winning iPhone apps before selling the technology to Snapchat in 2016. 

He has worked in the tech, media, and telecommunications groups at TPG Capital and Goldman Sachs, playing a key role in several major technology deals, including TPG’s investment in Uber. He graduated cum laude from Yale with a degree in economics, and is a Harvard Business School Baker Scholar (top 5% of class).

As a partner at Wing, Jake focuses on AI infrastructure, security, foundation models, and physical AI. He works closely with founders building the systems and software needed to bring AI into real-world production environments, with a particular interest in how advances in large-scale models and autonomous software are changing the boundary between software and human work.

Jake currently works with companies including Cyberhaven, Gimlet Labs, Gray Swan, and SiMa, as well as multiple reinforcement learning and security companies still in stealth. Prior to Wing, Jake held product leadership roles at Splunk and Cloudera, where he developed firsthand experience scaling technical products and data platforms inside rapidly growing infrastructure companies.

Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Accel, where he led investments in companies including Demisto, Radar, and Sumo Logic. He holds degrees in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, and economics from Duke University, a master’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Gaurav Garg is a founding partner of Wing.  He has founded five companies, including two that achieved public listings: Redback Networks (founded 1996, IPO 1999), and Ruckus Wireless (founded 2002, IPO 2012).  

At Redback Networks, Gaurav was Senior Vice President of Product Management & Business Development.  Prior to Redback Networks, he held various engineering positions at SynOptics and Bay Networks.

Gaurav was a partner at Sequoia Capital from 2001 to 2012.  He incubated and helped build FireEye (founded 2004, IPO 2013) and Jasper (founded 2004, acquired 2016 for $1.5B) into significant businesses. He was an early stage investor and served on the boards of several successful companies such as MobileIron (founded 2007, IPO 2014) and Shape Security (founded 2012, acquired 2020 for $1B), and Netscaler (acquired 2005). He also worked extensively with, and co-sponsored early stage investments in Aruba (IPO 2007) and RingCentral (IPO 2013).  Gaurav has served on a number of boards for more than 10 years each, and enjoys working side by side with founders through the evolution of their companies from inception to beyond an IPO.

Gaurav holds a BS and MS in electrical engineering and a BS in computer science, all from Washington University in St. Louis, where he serves on the Board of Trustees, and on the School of Engineering’s National Council. Gaurav has been named to the Forbes Midas List of Top Tech Investors several times. In 2014, he was named Silicon Valley Venture Capitalist of The Year at the Technology Fast 500 Awards.

Tanay Jaipuria is a partner at Wing where he focuses on investments in AI-powered applications and data and AI infrastructure. He is passionate about supporting highly technical teams in the earliest stages building delightful experiences to tackle challenging problems.

Prior to Wing, Tanay was a product manager at Meta, where he led teams building products to improve newsfeed ranking and ad experiences on Facebook and to help creators make a living on Instagram. Before that, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he served clients across the financial services, media, and technology industries. 

Tanay brings a wealth of experiential knowledge to Wing, and shares his thoughts on startups, technology, and business in his popular weekly newsletter.

Tanay holds a BS in computer science from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. 

Ansu Satpathy is an advisory venture partner at Wing, where he focuses on investments at the interface of data, computation, and disease therapeutics. He is excited to advise early-stage founders, including academic spin-outs, using his firsthand scientific, clinical, and founder experience to build data-driven therapeutics companies.

Ansu is a physician-scientist by training and a Professor of Pathology and Immunology at Stanford University. He is also an investigator in the Gladstone Institute of Genomic Immunology, the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, and the Stanford Cancer Institute. Ansu's academic research combines expertise in cancer biology, immunology, and high-throughput genomics and computation to discover principles of the immune dysfunction in disease and to translate these discoveries into novel clinical therapeutics. He has previously co-founded several biotechnology companies, including Cartography Biosciences (a Wing portfolio company) and Immunai.

Ansu holds a BS in molecular biology and BA in philosophy from the University of Illinois, an MD and PhD in immunology from Washington University in St.Louis, and completed his clinical residency and postdoctoral training in genetics at Stanford University.

Peter Wagner is a founding partner of Wing. He has led investments in dozens of early-stage companies, more than 30 of which have gone on to complete IPOs or successful acquisitions.

These companies include Snowflake, Aporeto, BlueJeans Network, Cumulus Networks, Habu, Nimble Storage, Fusion-io, Redback Networks, Riverbed, Arrowpoint Communications, Infinera, Peribit, Topspin, Omneon, and Opower, to name a few. He currently works with a private company portfolio that includes Gong, AttoTude, AMI Labs, Bespoke Labs, Jellyfish, Classiq, Pinecone, Lumana, San Francisco Compute, Tigera, Hydrolix, Wherobots and ORDR, among others.

Peter partners with founders building the AI-first technology stack for business, focusing on early-stage investing and long-term company building. He sees data, AI and the increasingly autonomous applications built on these technologies as engines of empowerment, helping people do their best work.

 Before founding Wing, Peter helped lead Accel Partners for 15 years as managing partner. Prior to joining Accel, Peter was a product line manager at Silicon Graphics, responsible for several generations of digital media and graphics workstation products. Peter previously worked with McKinsey & Company, and began his career as a physicist working in nuclear fusion research and aerospace.

Peter holds an AB in physics from Harvard College, summa cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.

Chris Zeoli is a Partner at Wing, where he invests in AI infrastructure, data infrastructure, and cybersecurity. His work spans the infrastructure stack powering AI, from compute and networking to data platforms and security.

Chris has spent more than a decade investing in technology companies across early and growth stages. Before joining Wing, he was a Principal at Base10 Partners and an investor at Insight Partners, where he worked with companies including Armis, TradingView, Checkmarx, Sysdig, PrecisionLender, Klaviyo, and TriTech Systems.

Before venture, Chris co-founded and bootstrapped a software and data center business to more than $10 million in revenue, operating distributed infrastructure and data systems at scale. That experience continues to shape how he evaluates infrastructure companies and works with founders building them.

Chris graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Statistics and Finance and later completed a postgraduate program in Data Science at Caltech.

Chris is the author of Data Gravity, where he writes about the infrastructure powering AI, including semiconductors, compute, networking, data centers, data platforms, and security. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, strength training, history, geography, and long walks.

Rajeev Chand is a partner at Wing and Head of Research. He spearheads Wing’s research franchises and summits, and he hosts and interviews the most recognizable names in business and technology today.

Before Wing, Rajeev was the managing director at Rutberg & Company, where he built the firm from a startup to a global platform with differentiated thought capital and senior executive relationships. He co-created Rutberg’s summits, including the flagship Wireless Influencers, and hosted and interviewed the most influential leaders in mobile and wireless.

Rajeev’s daily email, the Wing Briefing, features an expert curation of the day’s top news in tech and venture capital. It’s delivered to more than 3,000 subscribers, including corporate executives, founders, and venture investors.

Rajeev holds a BS in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

Sunil Chokshi is a partner at Wing and Head of Talent. He works closely with our portfolio companies to find, connect, and hire precisely the right individuals for the company and their stage of growth.

Before joining Wing, Sunil was a partner on the executive talent team at Andreessen Horowitz. There he worked with entrepreneurs, and built a deep network of key executive- and director-level relationships across go-to-market, finance, and operations functions.

Before transitioning into the world of executive talent, Sunil spent nine years in investment banking and corporate development, most recently at CODE Advisors, Disney Interactive Media Group and JPMorgan TMT.

Sunil holds a BS in business administration from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Michelle Kung is a partner at Wing and the Head of Marketing. She has more than two decades of experience in content strategy, editorial, and brand — across journalism, technology, and venture capital — and her career has spanned some of the most respected names in tech and venture capital, including Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, Amazon, and AWS, with roots in journalism at the Wall Street Journal.

As Wing’s Head of Legal, Cathy Kwon manages all of Wing’s legal affairs, including structuring and supporting deal-related transactions, overseeing internal compliance matters, and supporting portfolio companies as an expert sounding board. 

Prior to joining Wing, she led the corporate legal function at rocket ship start-up Relativity Space. She also worked as a corporate associate at Gunderson Dettmer in Silicon Valley, focusing on advising tech companies on transactions of all kinds, including formation, mergers, acquisitions, public offerings, and exits. 

She earned her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and her bachelor’s from UC Santa Barbara.

Liza Siems is the Director of Finance at Wing, where she oversees all areas of financial reporting and accounting.

Prior to Wing, Liza was with PwC for eight years, most recently as an experienced manager in the audit group. At PwC, Liza focused on venture capital and private equity clients in California.

Liza is a CPA and attended Tulane University, where she earned her Master’s in Accounting.

Hilary Strain is Wing’s chief financial officer. She has been in the venture capital industry for more than 20 years. She was previously with Alta Partners from 1998 to 2013 as their CFO, with responsibility for all finance, accounting, investor relations, compliance, and firm administration.

Prior to Alta, Hilary was a manager with Arthur Andersen’s Silicon Valley office, providing audit and business advisory services to public and private companies primarily in the high-technology sector.

Hilary served as a founding board member of the West Coast Chapter of the Private Equity CFO Association and is currently a member of the National Venture Capital Association CFO Task Force.

She is a certified public accountant (inactive) and holds a bachelor's in accounting from Pepperdine University, graduating magna cum laude.

Danny Wen is a partner at Wing and the Head of Business Development.

A Y Combinator S13 alum, Danny was an early investor and operator at Findem, a company Wing helped incubate and has been the lead investor in since its inception. There, he led strategy, corporate development, and business development — helping scale the company, closing some of its largest strategic and M&A deals alongside founder/CEO Hari Kolam.

At Wing, Danny's focus is on building out our founder and researcher communities, deepening our relationships with Frontier Lab and strategic corporate networks, and growing Wing's CxO customer network.

As a Wing executive assistant, Meghan Bay oversees every detail of ensuring the Wing office is in perfect working order, and helps ensure a welcoming environment for Wing’s portfolio company teams and partners.

Meghan provides executive support, and plays a key role in the planning and running of Wing’s events. She often engages firsthand with portfolio company teams, providing support and welcoming them to the Wing family. Before Wing, she was an event coordinator at the SAP Center.

Marisa Cannon is an executive assistant at Wing. She brings more than a decade of experience providing thorough and skillful support to C-level, GP and VP level executives.

Prior to joining Wing in November 2022, she worked as an executive assistant at several venture capital firms. She earned a degree in political science from UC San Diego.

Shelby Elrod is an executive assistant at Wing. From IT support to new employee onboarding, Shelby plays a critical role in the day-to-day running of Wing.

She partners closely with the operations teams at Wing to ensure smooth operations and seamless communication internally and externally, providing a high-touch experience with Wing’s portfolio companies, and supports the planning and execution of Wing’s many events throughout the year.

Kalani Gilman is the front desk coordinator at Wing. She supports day-to-day operations, including facilities coordination, supply management, and vendor relationships. She also provides operational support across the office while assisting with projects and company events.

Megan Kristalyn has been a part of the Wing team since June 2021, supporting partners and playing a key role in the planning and execution of Wing’s many events, including numerous internal events and the firm’s annual founder’s dinner.

She works closely with the CEOs and teams of portfolio companies within Gaurav’s investment areas, helping plan board meetings, support talent searches, and much more.

Before Wing, Megan spent 10 years at Andreessen Horowitz supporting a general partner in the firm’s enterprise investing space.

Mile Morina joined the Wing team in January 2023 as an executive assistant, bringing more than eight years' experience in operations and administrative work to her role.

Prior to joining the Wing team, Mile worked extensively in commercial real estate supporting operations. At Wing, she supports the team’s talent and market development partners.
